MISTAKES MOST BLOGGERS MAKE WHEN STARTING OUT

Hello again,

Can you believe that it’s Thursday already? This week is really flying and makes me question whether I have done everything I had planned to for the week. So today I am back with a post about blogging and most importantly mistakes most bloggers make when starting out, by the way here are some of mine. Almost everyone wants to be a blogger these days and as much I am all for it, some tend to forget that it’s not just creating a website and letting it be, blogging is not a walk in the park but rather lots of hard work, patience and also trial and errors which open up doors to learning even more about the blogging world. So before I bore you with all my rumbling, let’s get into it and see some of the mistakes most bloggers tend to do.

5 reasons why your blog might fail

As I said before,

There is a lot of planning and work involved when it comes to blogging and as much as I would want to sugar coat it and say we will all make it, I can’t because that would depend on whether or not you came into it for the right reasons or not. So without rumbling anymore, let me just get into it and start with the first reason.

IS IMPULSE BUYING COSTING YOU MONEY? LET’S FIX IT.

is impulse buying costing you money? let's fix it

Hi guys, I hope you had a fabulous weekend and that your week is going great. When I was grocery shopping during the weekend I realised how far I’ve come from doing any shopping in general. You see, before I would go into a store and pick something up because it either looks good or maybe I wanted to try it out without even giving it a thought whether or not I really needed it. I still have a juicer which resides in a cupboard because I thought I would be into juicing at the time. Nowadays, I’ve rectified that by knowing that impulse buying was the culprit and was costing me money. So onto the question is impulse buying costing you money?

The answer is YES

I know that sometimes you might really want something once you see it and I also know that unlike me, there some people who would like to have five sweaters of the same kind but in different colours. Don’t get me wrong but I just think that it’s a waste of money and would rather spend that money on something else. How can you fix that?

1.STAY ORGANISED

When I talk about staying organised, I mean know exactly what you have and don’t have around your home and if there is anything that you need to replace. Once your organisation is on point, you will less likely want to get something on the whim when you are out. So remember to get it together first by having an organisation plan. There’s no point of having three kettles just because they would look nice on your counter. To see how I get organised, find here.

2.HAVE A BUDGET

Impulse buying usually happens when you think or assume that you need something and not knowing it will cost you. To avoid that, have a monthly or weekly budget for everything, your groceries, home products, just everything. Once you have a budget in place, be tight with it and stick to it. When I started budgeting, I failed many times because I didn’t stick to it and ended up struggling when I really wanted something and it wasn’t good, you need to sacrifice all the temptations and just do it. A budget planner will really help if you’re just starting out.

This happened so many times until I figured out a way on how to correct it without driving myself crazy. I am going to show you how to make your blog post images appear on Facebook.

KICKING IT SHISH KEBAB STYLE

kicking it shish kebab style

Hello there,

Yes people I am totally kicking it shish kebab style and love the outcome. This week I wanted to experiment a bit more and move away from my cliché meals of pasta and rice. To be honest, this was totally accidental because I wanted to make meatballs but since meatballs go with pasta, I didn’t want to even go there and just before I forget, go here to check out my best pasta sauce. So my direction changed and I ended up with these bad boys. If you would like to introduce something new to your menu, here is how you can make them.

Disclaimer: I am not a professional in making shish kebabs, in fact I didn’t use skewers because I forgot that I didn’t get any on my last shopping trip and lastly, I was really aiming for them to look like Croatian çevapis hence the shape. Now let’s go ahead and show you what you need.

the answers you need when choosing your niche

WHAT’S YOUR PASSION?

What are you passionate about? What do you think strongly of? That’s what you should be looking into, finding your passion can be difficult at times since you may just really love a lot of things that you can’t be able to select a number. What you should do is take a pen and paper and write everything and I mean everything that you are really passionate about and makes you really happy when you think about it. After you have finished writing your list, go through it and check whether there are any subjects that have similarities with each other. Put all that have similarities together and within no time, you will notice that you will have different categories and all you will have to do is choose the one with more points to the other and find one title that sums it all up.

DAIRY FREE ZUCCHINI VANILLA CUPCAKE RECIPE

dairy free zucchini vanilla cupcake recipe

Hi guys,

I hope your week is going on just fine. This week I decided to revisit a recipe I used to make but then kind of neglected it for a while. As I had said before in my other post here, my son is allergic to milk and we thought it would have disappeared once he turned 2 then three and now he is almost four but clearly it’s just chilling on the side lines saying “Am still here” and will not disappear anytime soon. I found this recipe that my son loves from the cook yourself thin book and just in case I forgot to mention, it’s not only dairy free but fat free too. So if you need a low calorie treat, then this recipe is for you. This is a dairy free zucchini vanilla cupcake recipe. (Updated pictures)

MY BEEF PILAU RECIPE

MY BEEF PILAU RECIPE

Hello Everyone,

Pilau is what is on my mind today, I love pilau and always brings back great memories. I try to put it on my menu all the time until my family starts asking for something different then I know it’s time to give it a break. Known for being an Indian or Middle Eastern dish, I got to try my first pilau when I was younger and I’m guessing that was the Kenyan version which I learnt to make and still do the same way I saw back then. I used beef instead of chicken in my pilau but it can also be made into a veggie version. For my beef pilau recipe, you will need;
