CHEESEBURGER QUESADILLAS

CHEESEBURGER QUESADILLAS

Recipe week 3 (Day 3)

So as promised I am back with another one, I hope you’ve been enjoying my previous ones so far and just in case you’re new here then stop by day 1 and 2 and check out how this recipe week began. Now I don’t know about you but I was never one to be adventurous with coming up with new meals or trying to change out one to be something totally different, but guess what? I totally have it in me and I am liking it. “What do you do when you have left over burger patties?” Cook up some burgers or change it all up and use the meat to make some delicious cheeseburger quesadillas. I mean the obvious thing would be to just whip up the same thing you had the night before, but giving it a new twist makes it much more satisfying. These cheeseburger quesadillas require;

Ingredients

  • Flour tortillas (mini/large)
  • Burger patties
  • Grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • A tbsp favourite chilli sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • Jarred jalapenos
  • Butter

METHOD

  • In a preheated pan, break up your burger patties or you can chop them up ( I used a mixture of two kinds for extra flavour).
  • Once all is broken down, drain excess fat then add garlic granules and continue stirring.
  • In goes your chilli sauce and ketchup and give it another good toss.
  • Finally add in your jalapenos as much as you need and mix it once again.
  • At this point, if you notice any more excess fat do drain it once again.
  • Pour into a bowl and set aside.
  • Now it’s time to assemble the cheeseburger quesadillas.
  • A knob of butter into your pan, then your tortilla, layer your meat evenly on your tortilla but not too much.
  • Sprinkle some cheese on top evenly and then add another tortilla on top.
  • Press the sides as the cheese starts melting and flip it carefully not to spill out the filling.
  • Keep pressing them together and once the cheese melts and the tortillas are browned, it’s done.
  • Continue with the rest, slice them up.
  • Serve and enjoy.

CHEESEBURGER QUESADILLAS

Note: If you don’t have jarred jalapenos then you can use fresh ones but just cook them down a bit more if you don’t like too much crunch but I don’t really mind it. Also depending on the amount of quesadillas you want to make and the size of your tortillas, then you will have to add or reduce the amount and I also used sharp cheddar in mine but your favourite melting cheese works great too.

There you go, a delicious, simple assemble together recipe for cheeseburger quesadillas whenever you have a craving for some cheesy and meaty goodness or a burger because they totally taste like one. Thank you for all the support and stopping by and I hope your week is going fine. I will be back tomorrow with another delectable recipe so stay close and see you tomorrow.
