TURKEY, BROCCOLI CHEESE SOUP CASSEROLE

Hi there,

New week calls for a new post and that’s why I am here today. I hope you are all fine and doing great. As for me, I am happy to say my water fast was successful and I ended up doing a 72 hour fast which to me is major by the way. Today’s post is another delicious turkey, broccoli cheese soup casserole. If you love something hearty and comforting then you need to try this one out. In case you missed my previous post, drop by here and check it out. For this beautiful casserole, you will need:

TURKEY, BROCCOLI CHEESE SOUP CASSEROLE

Ingredients

  • 200 gms Turkey meat
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 Cloves crushed garlic
  • Chillies
  • A knob of butter
  • Cumin
  • Coriander powder
  • Garam Masala
  • A cup of mushroom soup
  • 100 gms Cheddar cheese
  • A head of Broccoli

METHOD

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C
  • In a heated sauce pan, melt your knob of butter then in goes the onions, garlic and chillies.
  • Meanwhile, par boil your broccoli and set aside.
  • Then add in a half teaspoon each of the spices and stir once again.
  • Sautee your onion mixture until softened then in goes your turkey meat and continue stirring for around five minutes.
  • Once half way cooked, pour in your mushroom soup then add some of your cheese and leave a bit for the end and then stir in your broccoli too.
  • Once mixed, pour into a casserole dish or mini ones like mine.
  • Add the rest of the cheese at the top and into the oven to melt that cheese and brown it slightly.
  • Once browned, remove from oven.
  • Serve and enjoy.

NOTE: You don’t have to use chilli like me since I do like it hot, but if your not a chilli person then you can definitely omit it and it will be fine. Also you see I used a shortcut with my mushroom soup, if you like to make your own then by all means do so. You also notice that I didn’t add any salt, that’s because the cheese and the mushroom soup already add some salt to the dish but if you need more, do add according to preference.

  1. Cheese soup is my favorite. The only change I do is use a lot of vegetable as I am a vegetarian.
