WHAT NOT TO DO WHEN YOU ARE STARTING YOUR BLOG

WHAT NOT TO DO WHEN YOU ARE STARTING YOUR BLOG

Hello There,

Happy end of the week everybody, I hope that you are all having a great one. Today, I have another post for you and it’s all in the name of blogging. We all know how to start a blog, getting blog post ideas, writing posts and even the promotion of blog posts. Now, let’s go back a bit and go through the basics of whether or not you are doing things right or just hoping for the best when starting your blog or thinking about it. If you’re already blogging for a while then this is not for you, but if you’re still dreading to push the publish button or are yet to even have a domain, then I suggest you go through some of these points. Here are some tips on what not to do when you are starting your blog in my opinion.

MY SKINCARE ROUTINE UPDATED VERSION

MY SKINCARE ROUTINE UPDATED VERSION

Let’s talk skincare,

It took me a while to figure out what my skin really needs, and had to learn how to keep up with it during changing seasons and hormonal breakouts. I started researching more about Korean skincare, and the number of steps it takes for daytime and night-time routines were too much for me. After trying it for a while I noticed that I needed to reduce some of the products since my skin was taking none of that layering system, so I decided to create my own spin on Korean skincare with the number of products my skin can take. If you read my post on the best tips for sensitive skin, then you now know that my skin has become super sensitive and I have to be very careful when I choose products to apply to my skin and body too. This is my skincare routine updated version.

I also know that with this pandemic, self-care is important so before we are released to the world without restrictions, I decided to just share what has been working for me and if you need some ideas for some products. Also, it’s been a long time coming for me to actually stick to a routine that works and hasn’t caused me major skin problems hence the no photo sessions in most of my posts. Hoping to change that soon since my camera roll is empty.

HOW TO HELP WITH YOUR CHILD’S LEARNING

HOW TO HELP WITH YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Hey There,

There are so many questions parents ask themselves once they start a family and the children start growing up. As much as the fun activities you do with your child at home are important in supporting their learning and development, they do have a lasting effect as they go on through school. When your child is still young and not able to talk yet, helping them to understand new words and ideas by talking to them does help. By just taking some time every day to do some of these activities with your child will really make a difference in your child’s confidence and learning abilities, making you one proud mother. Here are some tips on how to help with your child’s learning.

SWEET FLUFFY HOMEMADE DINNER ROLLS

Hey there,

Gosh, this week seems to be flying pretty quick. I hope you’re all having a good one and managing to accomplish all you wanted to do. Since It’s Wednesday, I always publish a recipe post and today, these sweet fluffy homemade dinner rolls are definitely the ones to try. Honestly, these are my favourite dinner rolls I have ever made and never fail me, and so long as you use the same cup to measure everything, then you will have no failures. Plus they are very good to freeze for up to a month and you just thaw and heat in the microwave or oven. This recipe is one I got from my sister and I think it’s the only one I wrote down because I didn’t want to forget any detail. They smell amazing while baking and even better when eaten warm or room temperature. For the recipe you will need:

Today I want to tackle ways in which Pinterest can be fun and help you as a blogger. I am going to share with you tips on how to use Pinterest effectively as a beginner.

KENYAN POTATO BHAJIA RECIPE

KENYAN POTATO BHAJIA RECIPE

How are you all doing today? I hope your week is getting on just fine and staying safe as always. Today I have for you one of my favourite childhood recipes and brings back great memories. Not only did I have this when younger but even now I would still have them anytime when the craving decides to check-in. Now I do know there are different versions of this recipe and other names like “viazi karai” but I am sharing what I know and how I remember them. My  Kenyan potato bhajia recipe is what I am talking about, flavourful, spicy and so delicious if I say so myself. You can easily order bhajia in many restaurants in Kenya and they will either come with some ketchup or my other favourite, a tamarind dip which just takes them to another level. WHAT YOU SHOULD INCLUDE IN EVERY BLOG POST

WHAT YOU SHOULD INCLUDE IN EVERY BLOG POST

Hello Everyone,

When I decided to start a blog, I told myself to just focus on the launching part and figure out the rest later on. Little did I know what was ahead of me, I never thought that writing one blog post had so much more entailed than just hitting publish. A blog post has much more entailed than just typing down words and sharing it to your readers, which I did learn along the way after making my share of many mistakes. So what should a blog post have? Every blog post requires certain properties for it to make a good post and here are some points on what you should include in every blog post.

Disclaimer: I am not saying that these are the only things you should include in every blog post because I know there are lots more out there and that we learn as we go. My posts are not perfect and I am just sharing what has worked for me and how I use them in my blog posts.

What makes a good blog post?

  • Should have images
  • Should be easy to read
  • Have good SEO
  • Good grammar
  • Have headings
  • Gets you more traffic

Now that you know what a good blog post is let’s get on with it and see what to include in every blog post.

STOVE TOP TENDER CHICKEN STEW

STOVE TOP TENDER CHICKEN STEW

Recipe week (Day 5)

We are almost there, it’s day 5 and another recipe is coming your way. So apparently we are going to be on lock down for another 3 weeks, at this point I don’t even know what to think anymore. I used to complain on how school runs were getting difficult and tiresome but its times like these that I’d totally love to walk for 30 minutes and pick up my son. How are you all coping by the way? Unless I am the only one overreacting and I have no idea. My baby boy turns 2 this weekend and I have already seen what the terrible twos have in store for me that’s why the playground being open would totally be lifesaving or anything that doesn’t involve running around the house screaming. Let’s just jump right into today’s recipe, my stove top tender chicken stew.
