WHAT NOT TO DO WHEN YOU ARE STARTING YOUR BLOG

Hello There,

Happy end of the week everybody, I hope that you are all having a great one. Today, I have another post for you and it’s all in the name of blogging. We all know how to start a blog, getting blog post ideas, writing posts and even the promotion of blog posts. Now, let’s go back a bit and go through the basics of whether or not you are doing things right or just hoping for the best when starting your blog or thinking about it. If you’re already blogging for a while then this is not for you, but if you’re still dreading to push the publish button or are yet to even have a domain, then I suggest you go through some of these points. Here are some tips on what not to do when you are starting your blog in my opinion.

HOW TO USE PINTEREST EFFECTIVELY AS A BEGINNER

Hello there,

I hope you had a lovely weekend and are ready to tackle this week head-on. My weekend was the same as all the rest with lockdown keeping us indoors and the weather being very gruesome lately. I am so into routines now that I think I need to find something new and exciting to do. The only thing is that it will have to be either indoors, online or start being crafty in some way. Today I want to tackle ways in which Pinterest can be fun and help you as a blogger. I am going to share with you tips on how to use Pinterest effectively as a beginner.

POTATO AND SALMON FISH CAKES

POTATO AND SALMON FISH CAKES

Hello,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and that it’s going on fine, I always publish my posts on Tuesdays but this week will have to just understand that I couldn’t publish a post-half-written. Now, I am all for having what’s on my menu every week and since I change it every two weeks, I never mind repeating a dish but when you have the same thing for four weeks in a row, it becomes too monotonous and I blame my busy schedule for that. So this past week, I finally got to change my menu and instead of the same old oven baked garlicky salmon, I decided to do something different and make some potato and salmon fish cakes. These are also great if you have a picky eater and need to include some veggies or some meats into your meal. You will need;

6 WAYS TO EXPLODE YOUR BLOG’S PAGEVIEWS IN A BRAND NEW BLOG

6 WAYS TO EXPLODE YOUR BLOG'S PAGEVIEWS TO A BRAND NEW BLOG

Happy New week,

Hello everyone, I hope you all had an amazing weekend and are staying safe. We were surprisingly visited with some snow yesterday which was great to have and to also witness my youngest seeing his first snow. I hope it decides to stay awhile for a snowman attempt. Anyway, today I am back with another blogging post for you and is for those people who just started blogging and are still figuring out how to increase their page views without selling their souls or having to buy something to get the information they need. So here are 6 ways to explode your blog’s pageviews in a brand new blog if you are a newbie. In case you missed my post on the mistakes I did before launching my blog, do check it out here.

Blogging is really hit or miss sometimes whereby what may work for one blogger may not necessarily work for you and that is totally fine. There’s no point of beating yourself up if you tried what another person did and it just didn’t work. All you have to do is regroup and find new strategies that will work for you, I have personally used these specific ways and they really helped me out when I got started and still do up to now.

WHAT YOU SHOULD INCLUDE IN EVERY BLOG POST

WHAT YOU SHOULD INCLUDE IN EVERY BLOG POST

Hello Everyone,

When I decided to start a blog, I told myself to just focus on the launching part and figure out the rest later on. Little did I know what was ahead of me, I never thought that writing one blog post had so much more entailed than just hitting publish. A blog post has much more entailed than just typing down words and sharing it to your readers, which I did learn along the way after making my share of many mistakes. So what should a blog post have? Every blog post requires certain properties for it to make a good post and here are some points on what you should include in every blog post.

Disclaimer: I am not saying that these are the only things you should include in every blog post because I know there are lots more out there and that we learn as we go. My posts are not perfect and I am just sharing what has worked for me and how I use them in my blog posts.

What makes a good blog post?

  • Should have images
  • Should be easy to read
  • Have good SEO
  • Good grammar
  • Have headings
  • Gets you more traffic

Now that you know what a good blog post is let’s get on with it and see what to include in every blog post.

HOW TO BOOST YOUR BLOG TRAFFIC WITH PINTEREST

Pinterest,

A while back, I wrote about tips on using Pinterest effectively which was beginner friendly and really easy to follow. Today I’m back with another Pinterest post to help you out, you see, I used Pinterest way back before I even started blogging but all my boards were all over the place, which made it irrelevant since all they showcased were a mixture of stuff which one could deem more like a confused group of boards. It was until I started my blog that I found out you could actually use it to drive traffic to your blog. Now if you read my other post here, then you have already created an account and your boards and are ready to now move to the next step. Here is how to boost your blog traffic with pinterest.

MY BEEF PILAU RECIPE

MY BEEF PILAU RECIPE

Hello Everyone,

Pilau is what is on my mind today, I love pilau and always brings back great memories. I try to put it on my menu all the time until my family starts asking for something different then I know it’s time to give it a break. Known for being an Indian or Middle Eastern dish, I got to try my first pilau when I was younger and I’m guessing that was the Kenyan version which I learnt to make and still do the same way I saw back then. I used beef instead of chicken in my pilau but it can also be made into a veggie version. For my beef pilau recipe, you will need;
