MINIMALIST AND SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLE WITH NORDGREEN

I hope you’re all doing great and still pushing on be it indoors or starting to venture out a bit. Now I don’t know about you but when it comes to fashion, I am not one to follow trends or go with the crowd. I prefer having something I really do like and fits in with my minimalist and sustainable lifestyle and thanks to Nordgreen, I get to do just that by adding a Native black leather watch to my wardrobe essentials which suits me perfectly and I couldn’t be happier. Finding the right watch for you comes down to;

1. STYLE

Just like in fashion, when you want to plan out an outfit, you look for your personal style and how it would fit in your needs and lifestyle too. So does a watch because the style of a watch shows what you prefer be it going all out or like me getting one that fits into my minimalist and sustainable lifestyle. As I said above I am not into following trends and so as long as I can find an affordable designer watch to include in my fashion essentials, then I am good to go. Whatever your style is Nordgreen has got you covered with various watch styles to choose from and they also have a vegan selection which I think is pretty cool.

2. FIT/ COMFORT

There’s nothing worse than an ill fitting watch whereby it’s either too tight or just doesn’t feel right when on. As style above, you need to be sure the fit of your watch feels comfortable without you having to tag at it every couple of minutes. 

3. STRAPS

Are you one who gets bored of seeing the same strap on all the time? Well I totally understand, just like in jewellery I love to have some variety now and then and Nordgreen gives you a choice of getting extra straps of different styles to be able to interchange them when you think your outfit needs a bit of sprucing up. Also if you tend to have a sensitivity to some straps like I have to most metals, then having the choice to choose a different strap is definitely a plus which I liked hence my leather strap.

4. SIZE

The size of the watch face does matter when it comes to finding the right watch for you. What I like about Nordgreen watches is that they have three different sizes to choose from 32mm, 36mm and 40mm. Depending on your wrist size then you get to figure out which watch face size suits you best.

5. MOVEMENT

Last but not least is movement, I’m not going to even pretend to know about this but what I do know is that there’s the automatic, mechanical and quartz. Mechanical are the oldest form of watches which are hand wound or also called manual movement since you have to turn them to store energy. The automatic ones are just as they sound and they can wind themselves when worn but you have to wear them consistently to make sure they stay wound. Then there’s the quartz which are battery operated and use that as their power source and are the most accurate type of movement. My watch is the black leather Native watch with a white dial and 36mm watch face and comes in gold. You have 4 different case colours to choose from, 3 dial colours and this is one of my favourites. I love the classic look it has with the rounded case which makes it more soft, has a clean dial, invisible minute marks and perfect for any occasion. Isn’t she a beaut?
