WHERE TO PROMOTE YOUR BLOG POSTS ONCE YOU’VE PUBLISHED THEM

So,

I already shared with you how you can promote your blog posts effectively in my previous posts and today I am back to tell you where you can be able to do that in order to get the most traffic to your site. Honestly, when I first started, I wrote my posts, published them and did nothing else, I guess I thought that I would get organic traffic instantly without doing anything which was so naive of me to even think like that, I needed to share my posts and share them in different platforms in order to get the best outcome and  increase my blog’s traffic. So today I am here to share with you where to promote your blog posts once you’ve published them.

WHERE TO PROMOTE YOUR BLOG POSTS ONCE YOU'VE PUBLISHED THEM

1. Facebook

This is really self-explanatory, all you have to do is start sharing through your account or page if you have created one. Even better, join blogger groups in Facebook and start sharing like nobody’s business, just remember to follow the rules of each group to avoid being penalised by being removed from the group.

2. Google +

I have been sharing to G+ for some time now, it doesn’t give me that much traffic but I will take any that I can get so it’s good to give it a try and check it out. What do you have to lose?

3. Twitter

Twitter is always a great place to promote your blog posts and you can do it multiple times during the day and get people to notice your posts and drop in by your blog.

4. Pinterest

Now if you don’t already know by now that Pinterest can really be a good source of traffic for you then I have no idea where you’ve been, but it’s all good because you still have time. All you have to do is learn how to use it effectively and how it can also boost your traffic then go straight to work and make it happen. I promise you, it will not disappoint if done right.

5. Tumblr

I used to use Tumblr a long time ago but then stopped using my account and now I see how useful it can be. If you have an account don’t forget to share your posts there too.

6. Reddit

I just opened an account on Reddit and honestly, I have been hearing great things about promoting blog posts on it and how it can get you loads of traffic but I am still getting into grips with it on how it works and what the rules are before I go crazy and drop my links there. Also, I read that one cannot spam with so many posts since it can decide to remove you or block you. Anyway, once I am sure of how my posts will do there then I will come back and give you my opinion.

7. Instagram

We all know how insta is doing great and how if you really leverage it, then you can have all the traffic you desire. I am still not there yet but I know my problem is consistency and I’m working on that. If you have a great following, don’t forget to share your blog posts with them too.

8. Mix

Formerly known as Stumbleupon, this is a great place to promote your blog posts. Plus the best part is you get to put down the category your post falls in or even narrow it down to your specific niche and wait for your traffic to start rolling in. I need to get back on this, it’s been a while.

9. Youtube

I just created a  channel and started posting on Youtube but it’s mostly on the food side of my blog, so all the homecooked meals I prepare can be found there, do check it out and subscribe. Youtube is a great place to share your blog posts and if you have many subscribers then there is your traffic, so long as you post what your audience would love to read and watch.

10. Email list

Your email list is also another place where you can be able to promote your blog posts since if you send your subscribers a newsletter or something else every week or monthly, then that’s where you can be able to tell them what’s new and what blog posts are up on your blog thus getting more traffic.

11. Linkedin

This is one of the recent places I have seen that you actually can promote your blog posts once you have published them. We all know that Linkedin has businesses on there, bloggers and many entrepreneurs. This can not only get you sponsored posts but also traffic from other like-minded people and bloggers within your niche.

12. Medium

I do tend to forget sometimes that I have an account in medium but I end up coming back to it and posting my blog posts there. It has brought me tons of traffic and I will be continuing promoting on there. The best part about medium is that you can actually just write your posts straight away there or copy-paste your article from your blog.

That’s it, everyone, those are some of the places I know you can promote your blog posts once you’ve published them, I know there are loads more that I have not discovered yet or don’t know much about like Quora but if you do know more places, do tell me in the comments below and help me out too. If you haven’t started a blog yet, check this step by step post out and get you going with it. So, until next time, tell me where do you often promote your blog posts?

  6. So instead of writing post after post, spend some time getting people to read the ones you’ve already written. Try some of the above tasks on your older posts, and keep them in mind for your next ones. Stop neglecting your posts after you publish them and get them the attention they deserve.
