BEAUTY PRODUCTS I’M LOVING THIS MONTH

beauty products i'm loving this month

Hello Everyone,

I know it’s been a while from my last post but I am back now. This week has been a little bit hectic with my son getting scarlet fever and me an infection following that, not an interesting week at all, I am still on medication but all will be fine. In my post on my skin care routine I mentioned how I was going to start trying out other products that I had wanted to and after using them for sometime now, I really like how they make my skin feel and help with my blemishes and hormonal breakouts. These are the beauty products I’m loving this month.

BEAUTY PRODUCTS i'M LOVING THIS MONTH

CLEANSER

For my face cleanser, I changed from the Biore charcoal cleanser to Dr. bronners 18 in 1 hemp tea tree pure-castile soap which helps to keep my breakouts at bay and so far so good. I am also thinking that I should probably get Dr. bronners products for my shower gel too but that’s still up for discussion since I really love my dove silk shower gel which smells amazing and makes my skin feel super soft and moisturised.

TISSUE MASK

In my face mask review here, I talked about how they are my holy grail and how I don’t intend to change them since I still use them weekly, but I stumbled upon a Garnier skin active moisture bomb tissue mask which keeps your skin hydrated up to seven days after use and I must say guys, you need to get this asap. It really is incredible and leaves your skin feeling smooth and supple.

FACE SCRUB

My St.Ives face scrub finished a while back and after using different ones, they didn’t exfoliate my skin the way St. Ives did so I went straight back for it. This scrub really works well to remove dead skin and also helps to prevent blemishes which with my oily skin, they just never want to leave sometimes. If you haven’t tried it before, give it a whirl and see what you think about it and you will not be disappointed.beauty products i'm loving this monthSt. Ives Blemish Fighting Apricot Facial Scrub, 150 ml – Pack of 3

MOISTURISER

When it comes to my face moisturiser, I still use my Aveeno moisturiser but because I usually layer my products when it comes to my night time routine, I ended up getting the Neutrogena hydro boost water gel that I was keeping my eye on and I must say it’s my game changer. This water gel makes your skin feel soo hydrated and alive, I am also planning to try their other hydro boost products which they came up with and see how it will all pan out.

PERFUME

This month, I have been going crazy over the black opium perfume, a present I got from my mother in law and oh my, it really smells heavenly. I am that kind of person who every time I pass my room and see it, I pick it up and smell it just for the sake of it. I plan to use it less because at this rate I might just finish it, so I have told myself to use it “sparingly” hopefully anyway. If you haven’t tried it,get yourself a sample and see whether it’s your kind of scent. To find out the best places to spray your perfume, check them out here.

FOUNDATION

I told myself that I was not going to buy any more foundations until I finish the ones I had because I didn’t want to hoard products but I just had to try out the Maybelline-fit me matte+poreless foundation thanks to YouTube, and I must say I really love it. Since I have oily skin, I always try to get the best primers but with this foundation, I used an ordinary primer and my skin stayed flawless and matched me pretty well. If you have oily skin and want a good affordable foundation to try out, it really is worth it for the price and amount in my opinion.

  1. I use the Dr. Bronner peppermint soap I wonder if it’s good for the face. I love the Black Opium I’m always upset when someone discovered it lol. Love this I’m going to find those face bombs. Never even heard of it.

    1. I think the peppermint would be okay, you could try it once and see, hopefully it doesn’t sting your eyes. Lol about the perfume, It’s so nice though. The tissue masks are so good if you can find them try you will be impressed.

  2. You have intrige me with this Dr. Bronner soap. Now I wanted to try it out really bed. Unfortunetly, my skin don’t like brands Garnier and Neutrogena, but I have read that a lot of people loved these brands. Really nice and informative article.

    1. This was a new one for me because I never really tried their products but after this mask am going to explore even more.

  3. Wow I’ve never heard of a moisture bomb tissue mask before! Will definitely check it out.

  4. I’ve always loved St.Ives, the products always suit my skin and there’s not a lot that suit my skin. I feel they’re quite effective as well.

  5. I love Dr. Bronner’s – I keep a small bottle of it at work. Comes in handy.

  6. Great list and I am definitely going to check out the gel moisturizer I have impossibly dry skin. Castille soap is amazing and you can use it for so many things, though I never use it on my skin without avocado oil because it can be really drying but my go to is Coconut Oil.

    1. Coconut refused to work for my face and I have no idea why but the gel moisturiser keeps my skin sooo hydrated and you won’t be disappointed.
