A GLANCE AT JANUARY-My Monthly Update

a glance at january-my monthly update

 Hello February

Can you believe that January is over? Like really, I’m not complaining but just a while back I was taking down the Christmas tree and my son was whining why it wouldn’t stay up as long as he wants. Anyway, that’s life for you and I enjoy every second of it. So January has not been too bad to me, apart from dealing with colds and coughs which we are still trying to recover from, I think it’s been all good. I figured I would give you guys an update on how everything has been this past month. This is a glance at January-My Monthly Update.

Health and Living

When it comes to my family’s health, this year is far much better than any other since my son has had fewer colds compared to last time, I mean he has a bit of coughing, sniffles here and there but better than having it two weeks in a row. I am happy to say that I have lost eight pounds which is my best results so far, guess sugar is really the enemy. I am finally getting used to the new place, we just moved in November and still finishing up to set up everything but taking it slow.

My son seems to love his new school, he is finally trying to talk to the other kids although he still has a long way to go. He just decides to tell me everything once we are out of the room and I really need him to start talking before he starts pre-school later this year.  Either way, I am really proud of him and will continue encouraging him but I can’t believe that he still has milk allergy and doesn’t seem to be going any time soon.

My Current favourites

I actually noticed that I really didn’t get a lot of things last month which is okay but I plan to buy some stuff that I have been keeping my eyes on. I got the Shea Moisture Jamaican black castor oil strengthen and restore shampoo for my hair, which I have been ignoring reasons unknown to me. Once I get to use it for a while, I will review it. The other thing I got was Dr. Bronners hemp tea tree castille soap for my face thanks to @Sunkissalba who got me into it, check out her blog here on natural organic products plus she is awesome. I have used it for two weeks and I am glad to say that my skin is clearing up and is taking care of some blemishes I had.Find my skincare routine here.

My favourite skin lotion and cream this winter is dove, I got the dove derma spa which was being sold during Christmas but I got it in January and it really does a good job to moisturise and take care of my skin because this winter,my skin has just decided to be extra dry, can’t wait for it be Spring. They all smell heavenly and not too overpowering. The package comes with a cream, body lotion, hand cream and a manicure set which I thought was pretty. My other recent obsession has been the Brieftons quick push food chopper which I really needed but kept on holding back on buying it yet it has really been a time saver when it comes to cooking meals by making me prep onions in a flash which to me is a plus. I know everyone knows about it but I love it and just decided to include it in my favourites. I plan to add more kitchen gadgets this month.

Blogging

I wouldn’t finish without talking about how my blog has been going this past month. I am happy to say I’m enjoying every bit of it and planning to do even more this month. My Pinterest followers have increased by 100, I got to join some Facebook blogger groups and also got to sign up for tailwind which is my favourite when it comes to pinning.

Tailwind

If you haven’t yet heard about tailwind, you need to get on it asap. It helps you to schedule and create your pins instead of having to doing it all day everyday, we know pinning can take time but with tailwind, all is done for you. If you want to try it out, you get a free trial and you can use my link here and start scheduling your posts immediately.

Pinterest

When it comes to Pinterest, I  added two more boards and concentrated on filling them with great pins. I made sure to have good descriptions on my pins and that the links work well. I created a group bites which is doing fine and I plan to create and join more groups this month.

THIS MONTHS GOALS

For this month, I plan to increase my Pinterest followers, to 1000 and at least 500,000 monthly views from 223,000.

I’ll still continue to schedule my pins, and make sure to create two images for each post.

I plan to increase my Instagram followers since I was not really doing anything before and I will be trying harder.

I plan to join more Facebook groups and Pinterest groups.

I’ll continue reading more blogs and commenting on them to extend my reach.
