Happiness is always by choice, being disappointed and feeling low just because someone has done you wrong only results in hurting you even more and nobody else. So whenever you find yourself just being downright unhappy,try to do these for a month and you will change your life for the better. These are 9 things happy people do;

They don’t forget what they already have and are always grateful for it. Having a gratitude list every day is a good idea. Don’t let the things you want to distract you from what you already have.

They always enjoy each moment and cherish the precious memories made each and every day. Stop and smell the roses.

3.STOP OVER-THINKING

They relax and go with the flow, meditate where necessary and avoid stress. Thinking too much only complicates your life and creates a problem that wasn’t even there in the first place.

4.AVOID COMPARISON

They try new things and experiences and if it makes you happy go ahead and give them a try.

  1. Being grateful and giving gratitude as soon as you wake up is one of the best things you can do

    1. Great, being happy is always a choice as much as we get negative stuff from day to day we just have to remain choosing happiness for it to continue being like that.

  2. I have been working on many of these! One thing that I love to do is go for a walk and think about all of the things that I am grateful for. It always puts me in a good mood!

  5. These are great things to keep in mind. I think by being more grateful for what I have, I can avoid feeling the need to compare myself to others.

  6. Oh my gosh yes!! I used to over think everything. Now, I just brush it off. Thinking back to my early 20s I was such an unhappy person. It really is true, the older you get, the less you care! LOL!

  8. This is so true. So many people are easy to spot who are happy because of most of the things on the list. It makes miserable people even easier to spot!

    1. You’re welcome, all of us tend to over-think the smallest things and just end up making them become big problems when they really aren’t.

  9. Avoiding comparison is huge! FOMO is a big problem for millenialls now and it all stems from comparing ourselves to others. If we just worried about doing what makes us happy and not what others have, our lives would be so much better.

    1. Exactly, it doesn’t matter what another person has,does or did we need to focus on ourselves and the now and the only way is to make the choice of either staying happy or get frustrated.

  11. Totally concur with everything! I’m a victim of over analyzing things and comparing myself with others. But happiness is a choice and I’m glad you wrote this. Gives me the confidence to continue my blog.

  12. Sometimes we want to give up on some friendships as it seems like we are the ones bending over backwards to maintain those friendships. I guess in the long run it is worth the effort. Noticeably the items in the list are linked as in order work on cultivating relationships we have to cultivate and maintain optimism. Then being happy is definitely something we have to consistently work on. Happiness really is a choice.
