As much as I know it might be the most important meal of the day, my family is way different and we just don’t have breakfast. This recipe came about after I tried all kinds of meals from sandwiches to pancakes and even cereal but the only time my kids ate something was if it was a cereal bar or munching on this homemade granola, I know, sounds wrong but I had to give it a try. Today I have this simple homemade granola recipe for you. You will need;

NO BUTTER ORANGE LOAF CAKE

I am not that much of a sweet tooth person but that doesn’t mean I can’t indulge once in a while. I also just realized I am allergic to egg whites which is a bummer since some of the things I like have eggs in them. Anyway, I am still able to handle some meals with a bit of egg but not all. That means goodbye to fluffy pancakes and meringues are a no-go zone for me. All in all, I shall overcome it one way or another, enough about me, today I have the best dessert you could want and it’s this no-butter orange loaf cake. I hope you are ready for this, for the recipe you will need;

CHICKEN, BACON AND SWEETCORN QUESADILLAS

Hey There,

Do you have one of those meals that you really love eating but when you think of how long it will take for you to cook, it just makes you want to forget about it and have some left-overs instead, well my chicken, bacon and sweetcorn quesadillas are one of those with samosas coming in a heavy second. Now, I know it might sound crazy but for me, it takes a whole planning from when to do each step to dealing with who doesn’t want what in theirs. Luckily, I came to grips with the fact that I still have to make them since they are so good and no resistance can make me avoid them. For this recipe, you will need;

SIMPLE HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE PUDDING

SIMPLE HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE PUDDING

Hey there,

Another day, another fabulous recipe for you. This time I am calling out all the chocolate lovers out there who just need a chocolatey treat without lots of fuss and takes care of the craving real quick. It’s my simple homemade chocolate pudding recipe, what’s not to love, perfect on its own, topped up with some cream and more chocolate shavings or just add in more flavours if you like but for me, simple is better. There was a debate around my house when it came to the crust forming and no crust and who preferred what, personally I love both and don’t mind at all but if you get a tad bit squeamish then no crust for you then.

This is also a very nice and convenient dessert if you’re entertaining since you can make them ahead and let them refrigerate for a while before serving. Also depending on what type of chocolate you prefer, you can choose to go for a fancy chocolate bar or normal milk chocolate will do too. For this homemade chocolate pudding, you will require;

HOW TO MAKE CROATIAN CEVAPI/ CEVAPCICI

HOW TO MAKE CROATIAN CEVAPI/ CEVAPCICI

If you missed my previous post, then this is a follow up on what you could make to eat with ajvar. How to make Croatian cevapi/ cevapcici is what I have for you today. Grilled flavoured minced meats that pair well with the ajvar recipe I gave you earlier and is just glorious to have any time. As much as I would like to eat cevapi the authentic way with all the dips and bread, I tend to also make them and eat them on their own because they are that good and just makes you want more. Before I continue, let me just explain a bit more what cevapi/ cevapcici are.

So, what exactly is cevapi?

Plainly put, cevapi is a grilled dish of minced meat found traditionally in Serbia and Croatia. Hand-mixed and formed into kebab shaped meat from two to three types of minced meat. For my recipe, I used two and preferably prepped a day before to let it marinate. For this recipe you will need;

CROATIAN AJVAR RECIPE

CROATIAN AJVAR RECIPE

Hello everyone,

If you’ve been reading me for a while now and stopped by my random facts about me post, then you already know that I lived in Croatia for four years and during my stay there, I was able to try out different authentic recipes which I loved. One of the recipes that stood out to me and I had to replicate was the Croatian ajvar recipe. A perfect accompaniment to cevapi/cevapcici ( grilled minced meat similar to kebabs), onions and lepinje (similar to pita bread). When I moved, I tried finding it everywhere but just couldn’t find one that tasted the same, so I decided to figure out how to make my own and one that I like the taste of.

What is Ajvar?

Simply put, ajvar is a condiment/dip from red peppers, eggplant and oil. My homemade version had roasted peppers and just tastes amazing. Another condiment widely used when having cevapi is kajmak, which is a white cream dip that complements everything well. Now that you know what it is, let’s get on with the recipe. You will need;
